The evaluators of the SEND and AP Change programme want to involve service users both in evaluation design, data collection and testing of findings to ensure they reflect parent/carer views. To do this they are setting up a Family Panel. Participation is voluntary and unpaid, but as a thank you, for each meeting they participate in each panel member will receive a £10 shopping voucher (so up to £10 x 3 for attending all meetings).
Please complete and return the attached nomination form to nominate people who are interested in taking part in the panel. Alternatively, you can share the attached information and consent form with potential participants for them to complete and return themselves.
Every member of the Panel must be five things:
- At least 16 years old.
- A parent/carer of a child or young person with SEND who has experienced AP or support for SEND in the last three years OR a young person with SEND who has experience of AP or support for SEND in the last three years.
- Be able to participate in three online meetings which will take place between September 2024 and September 2025. Each meeting will last between 60 and 90 minutes.
- Live in England.
- Be willing to provide feedback, during the project.
