Bournstream
A unique outdoor adventure playsite on the Cotswold edge. It has picnic areas with tables and benches, toilet house, with changing platform. The playsite also has an extensive pathway for bikes, play vehicles and wheelchairs. It has giant sandpits, a play house, swings, roundabout, slides and a football pitch.

Charlotte’s Tandems
A charity with a number of tandems available for disabled or less able people and those with special or additional needs to borrow for free. They welcome applications from all ages.

Connect & Offload (CandO)

Our helpline is here to support adults living in Gloucestershire who are experiencing mild to moderate wellbeing difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, or depression, including support for self-harm. Disability Grants

This website can hep you and save you time in finding disability grants.  A grant is a financial donation or contribution which unlike loans they do not have to be repaid. Many UK charities or trusts provide grants for the disabled, each with their own criteria for providing funds.


 

Door Youth Project
For young people aged 11-25 yrs, this project provides trained mentors and family support workers to work with young people on a 1:1 basis to explore worrying issues. It also offers ‘Hope Training’ for 15-25 yr olds in vocational subjects (i.e music, media, art and retail).

Gloucestershire Deaf Youth Zone (GDYZ)

Welcomes young people 9-21 years of age who are D/deaf, deaf-blind, or with any level of hearing loss. Hearing siblings are also welcome. The fortnightly Friday evening sessions offer a range of activities, but above all an opportunity to have fun and mix with other hearing impaired young people, using a mix of English and BSL, whichever is preferred.  GDYZ also offers school holiday outings and once a year a three-day residential.

Gloucestershire Wheels for All

They deliver inclusive cycling sessions every week at Blackbridge Jubilee Athletics Track, Podsmead Road Gloucester and at Pedalabikeaway in the Forest of Dean. They have several inclusive bikes to suit all ages from 5 upwards and all abilities. The cost is £5 per participant per session.

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children may help with the extra costs of looking after a child who is under 16 and has difficulties walking or needs more looking after than a child of the same age who doesn’t have a disability. They will need to meet all the eligibility requirements.
